Our mission: to raise equity capital that is responsive to the particular needs of northern New England. We do this in two ways—first, by reaching out to local institutions to invest in their communities and second, by tapping into capital from regional and national institutions by translating the particular challenges of our markets into the language of the larger financial sector. Our primary tool for raising investor capital is the creation of Equity Funds targeted for investment in Maine and New Hampshire. These funds are limited partnerships structured to pool the capital of multiple investors, which is then in turn invested in multiple affordable housing developments in the two states.
